President & CEO
Troy is the founder, President, and CEO of First Resource, Inc. the only Association Management Company focused exclusively on providing value to America’s manufacturers through innovative association management practices. A twenty year veteran of the manufacturing sector, Troy serves as the founding Executive Director of the Manufacturers Association for Plastics Processors (MAPP) and the Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers (ARPM), as well as Executive Director of the American Mold Builders Association (AMBA). Troy also founded the Benchmarking and Best Practices Conference, which is one of the manufacturing sector’s fastest growing and most innovative events.
Troy is a military veteran and proud graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management. Prior to his experience in manufacturing association management he worked in economic development, specifically focused on developing the plastics industry in Indiana, and as Department Manager at Mobil Oil.
Kym serves as Publications Director of First Resource, as well as Managing Director of the American Mold Builders Association (AMBA). In this role she manages the day-to-day operations of the only trade association working to increase the profitability and performance of American mold builders. Prior to her tenure at AMBA, she served as Assistant Director of the Foil and Specialty Effects Association (FSEA) and editor-in-chief for Peterson Publications. Kym has a wide range of experience in association management and publishing, and is focused on growing AMBA and serving America's mold builders. Kym’s educational background includes a Bachelor's degree from Kalamazoo College.
Director of Information and Administrative Services
Susan is the Director of Information and Administrative Services for First Resource, she provides project management services to First Resource and its client associations and serves as Assistant Director of the American Mold Builders Association (AMBA). Prior to her career in association management Susan was a small business owner, owning a successful insurance agency. With the exception of Troy Nix, Susan is First Resource's longest tenured employee and has been integral part of the growth experienced by First Resource's client associations.
Marcella Kates, PCM
Director of Marketing
Marcella serves as Marketing and Public Relations Manager for First Resource’s portfolio of clients and events. Her responsibilities include managing and coordinating communications for conferences and events, plant tours, member association events, webinars, and overseeing publications and marketing efforts for all client associations. Prior to her tenure at First Resource Marcella served as Communications Director at a historical church in downtown Indianapolis, and in the Advancement office at the International School of Indiana. Marcella is a graduate of Purdue University, receiving her Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and Advertising. Marcella has also received the Professional Certified Marketer designation from the American Marketing Association.
Conference and Corporate Sponsorship Director
Letha joined First Resource as Conference and Corporate Sponsorship Director after a successful career in development, fundraising, and nonprofit management at the International School of Indiana and Susan G. Komen For the Cure. In addition to her role with First Resource, Letha also serves as Managing Director of the Association for Rubber Products Manufacturers (ARPM). An effective fundraiser, motivator, and nonprofit management professional, Letha’s experience helps First Resource client associations develop a secure financial base through more profitable events and increased corporate sponsorships. Letha received a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Marian University.
Organizational Support Specialist
Ashley provides operational support throughout the First Resource organization. Ashley obtained her B.A. in English from IUPUI. Prior to joining First Resource Ashley had extensive experience in the non-profit sector, including the launching an Indianapolis-based charter school as well as working with the office of Veterans Affairs.
Project Management Coordinator
Beth Jeffries has been named project management coordinator for ARPM. This position works hand-in-hand with the ARPM managing director to meet the goals and objectives outlined by the association’s board of directors. She is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and an MBA in Human Resource Management. Prior to joining the ARPM team, Jeffries had extensive experience in the event & entertainment industry, her past positions include vendor relations manager at the Indiana State Fairgrounds & Event Center as well as program manager for the Sears Centre Arena.
